National Identity Number (NIN):
from the year 2021, WAEC board announced that provision of National identification number is compulsory for the registration of WAEC exam starting from 2022.
Due to security purposes and to ensure accuracy of the data provided by the WAEC registrar, the NIN is the most effective way of achieving this.

thumb printing for candidates,
all WAEC candidates are required to enroll their thumb printing data in the school they wish to write the WAEC examination on.
the thumb printing is done by placing your fingers in WAEC finger print scanner machine, all the collected finger print will be sent to the office of the west Africa examination council for proper registration.
without this thumb printing, you can not register WAEC in any school, this is one the basic requirements for WAEC registration this year 2022.

List of 9 Subjects to register
WAEC requires you to provide to them the list of the nine Subjects you wish to write on your exam.
there are more than fourthy subjects written in jamb but you are required to choose only nine out of those subjects.
how to choose the subject to write for WAEC,
some subjects are already choose for you by the WAEC board of directors, English language and mathematics are compulsory subject that you can’t put aside no matter the course you want to study in higher institution.
for science students, WAEC board had already choose this subject for you out of those fourthy subjects: English language, mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology ( and one of your country language: Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba language for Nigeria candidates. ) you are only allowed to choose additional four subjects to complete them nine.
for art students, WAEC board had already chosen : English language, mathematics, government, literature in English and any other religious study of your choice, you only have to choose additional four subjects to complete it to nine.

candidates Passport photographs.
you are required to provide four passport photograph when registering for WAEC, the passport will be used for three different occasions, one will be use to provide a WAEC Card for you, second one will be use to attach to your WAEC result certificate after the examination, WAEC board will hold one in case they lost any one likewise your school or examination centre, they will hold one passport too.
you are required to snap this passport in your WAEC examination centre if you’re a student or an internal candidate but for external candidates, they can snap the passport elsewhere with the proper school uniform of the WAEC examination centre they wish to write the examination in.
you are required to submit the passport before any other registration procedure begins.
- validate date of birth ( birth certificate ).
WAEC candidates are required to submit a photocopy of their birth certificate.
this birth certificate submission is to ensure that all the data you provided for them is correct, they use it to check and confirm your date of birth, age and your place of birth.
you can get this birth certificate in the hospital where you were born or In your local government area head quater
- Local Government of origin, state of origin and nationality.
this one is also needed to ensure that what you provides for them is correct.
they use the local government of origin to confirm the local government in the address you gave them, they also use the state of origin to confirm whether you are truly from the state in the data you provided for them, then the nationality is to confirm your country.
you can get this Local Government of origin, state of origin and nationality from your local government head quater with the sum of five hundred naira per document, this is the only place you can possibly get all the documents without spending much time.

you are required to provide your full address information to the board of the WAEC examination management.
the address must contain your full name, place of birth, residential address, your valid phone number, your guidances valid phone number, and your email
other requirements for WAEC registration this year.

- 1. for junior WAEC examination, you must have finished primary school, JS1, JS2, and become a JS3 students.
- 2. for senior WAEC, you must have finished primary school, junior secondary, SS1, SS2, and become a SS3 candidate.
- 3. you must be financially ready for the examination.
WAEC board announced eighteen thousand naira per candidate as the WAEC fee.
in some centers though private schools, and WAEC examination centre, the price is ranged from thirty five thousand to fifty thousand naira depending on the centre you entered.
