TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This competition is open to South African citizens aged 18 years and over.
2. This competition is not open to any director, employee, agency, prize sponsor or contractor of Proudly South African, TikTok, RiSA, the SAMAs or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisations/events or running of the competition, neither any of the immediate family members, life partners or business partners of the abovementioned individuals and entities.
3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4. Competition entries must be submitted via the TikTok social media platform
5. The closing date and time for entries will be Thursday, 01 September at 17h00. Entries posted thereafter will not be permitted or considered.
6. Proudly South African, RiSA and the SAMAS do not accept responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
7. The rules of the competition are as follows:
   Using the hashtags #SAMA28 and #BuyLocalToCreateJobs, entrants are to share their favourite local SAMA28 celebration moment taken over the SAMA28 weekend and post it on TikTok. To qualify, entrants need to be following both @thesamas_ and @officialproudlysa on TikTok.
8. The prize is as follows:
   The all-new locally made Toyota Corolla Cross worth R360 000 courtesy of Proudly South African.
9. The prize is not transferable and is not negotiable.
10. Proudly South African reserves the right to alter rules or prizes at their own discretion. Such altered rules and prizes shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by Proudly South African. No entrant shall have any recourse against Proudly South African as a result of the alterations of the rules or prizes.
11. The winner will be chosen as follows:
    A panel of judges will choose the winner at their discretion based on the rules mentioned in point 7 above. The winner will be announced by Friday, 21 October 2022.
12. The winner will be required to collect their car from the dealership identified by Proudly SA during that dealership’s trading hours. If the vehicle is not claimed and collected within 30 days of the pre-arranged dealership’s handover date may be forfeited at Proudly SA’s discretion.
13. The winner must allow Proudly SA a reasonable period to arrange for the car to be registered, licensed in their name. They must provide Proudly SA and/or the dealership all information and original documentation required for this purpose, including an identity document, together with a valid South African driver’s licence or that of his or her nominated driver/registered owner, and a valid proof of residence.
14. The winner/s give consent to have their photograph, full name, and province published/broadcast publicly on any media platform/s identified by Proudly South African at its discretion.
15. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. The winner uses and accepts the prize at their own risk. Proudly South African and other agencies/entities involved in this competition cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury, or loss of property experienced as a result of winning, accepting and/or utilizing prizes won.
17. Proudly South African reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control and shall not be liable in anyway whatsoever to entrants in such event for any cause or action whatsoever.
18. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
